How Cotly tracks every cart in real time

Cotly is the direct-to-consumer brand behind the Cotly 8-in-1 convertible cot, a single piece of nursery furniture that converts through eight stages, from newborn bassinet to a bed for a five year old. It is a focused, one-hero-product store where every cart matters.

For a lean store living and dying by a handful of high-consideration purchases, knowing what shoppers actually do in their carts is everything. But Shopify's built-in reports are aggregated and lag behind, so it was hard to see, in the moment, which products were going into carts and which carts were stalling.

Cotly installed Cartlytics and, in their own words, within two weeks could "see exactly what's happening in the cart in real time", every add to cart as it happens, with the product, the location, and where the shopper came from. No theme edits, no Google Analytics to wrangle.

But the moment that earned a review this early was not a feature. When they asked how a particular metric was calculated, they got a real, knowledgeable answer from someone who knew the product, not a copy-pasted or AI-generated reply.
